Wet Original Classic Water-based Lube

Wet Original Classic —— $9.11

Carlos
I was given a 3.5oz container of Wet Original Classic to use for my review. It’s nice that I got as much as I did. I hate trying to review a lube product with only a tiny sample packet.

The 3.5 oz container provided me more then enough lube for several play events, both by myself and with my wife. The beautiful thing about water based lubes, like Wet Original, is that it’s non-greasy. And that makes clean up a breeze. And it will never stain clothing, furniture or sheets. I love that!

Wet Original is actually a moisturizing gel, so it has a thicker consistency than some other water based lubes I’ve tried. I like that too, a lot.

It comes in a handy flip-top plastic bottle. It has a textured notch on its side that makes holding on to the bottle and opening and closing it effortless even with slippery hands and fingers.

I’m often frustrated by water based lubes because they tend to dry out pretty fast. But Wet Original is surprising long-lasting. I actually had to reread the label to make sure it was water based. That was kind of funny.

You can use Wet Original with all your favorite toys too, especially silicone and cyberskin toys.

My wife has very sensitive skin, but she didn’t have any adverse reaction to this lube, which surprised both her and me. Wet Original is also very inexpensive. It has no odor or taste. so basically I’m saying that this is a mighty fine all-purpose lube.

I highly recommend it.

Sidekick Silicone Anal Plug

Sidekick Silicone Anal Plug —— $22.00

Carlos
Those of you who follow my reviews know that I have a prostate problem. And I’m not ashamed to admit it either. I’m also very into ass play. I have very little outlet for that with other guys, because I’m married. (Just so we’re clear, my wife knows about this; so it’s not a Tiger Woods kinda thing.) But even if I were able to connect with other bi or even gay guys more often I don’t think I’d be up for it because of my enlarged prostate. I just can’t bottom like I used to. I know, bummer, huh?

With the onset of my prostate problem a couple of years ago, I became more interested in playing with my own ass. This allows me complete control over the kind of stimulation I can tolerate at any given time. I’ve become particularly fond of butt plugs. But finding just the right one can be a challenge. I can’t have anything too hard. Can’t be too big either. It’s got to be just right. Sounds like Goldilocks, huh?

With that long-winded introduction finished, I can now introduce you to the Sidekick Silicone Anal Plug. This is the perfect butt plug for me. It is smooth and supple, which make it easy to insert and wear for hours at a time. And that’s saying something for a guy with an enlarged prostate, like me. I’m no doctor, but I believe that my condition is actually helped by wearing a butt plug for a period of time a couple times a week. It delivers a very nice prostate massage that seems to soothe things down there.

The Sidekick comes in two sizes. I have the smaller of the two — 3.75” long, 1” in diameter. It has a small bulb at the head; it widens modestly towards the base and has the traditional “plug” notch at the base. That’s what keeps it snugly in place.

This is the perfect toy for the ass play beginner, or someone with an enlarged prostate, like me. It’s really comfortable! If you’re just starting out with ass toys, you really need lube with ass play. And in this case, it has to be a water-based lube. Silicone-based lube will destroy a silicone toy like this.

Silicone toys are among my favorites. Silicone is nonporous, which makes them super easy to clean. Mild soap and warm water works just fine. You can also wipe it down with a lint-free towel moistened with peroxide, rubbing alcohol or a 10% bleach solution. You can even boil it, or pop it in the upper rack of the dishwasher to disinfect.

As you can see, I love the Sidekick Silicone Anal Plug. I know you will too.

Sidekick Tease Me Sleeve

Sidekick Tease Me Sleeve —— $14.43

Carlos
I love to masturbate; I’ve been doing it since I was 11.  I love to masturbate with my wife; I like to masturbate with other men.  It’s about as safe a sex as you can have short of having no sex at all.

I’m pretty much a manual masturbator.  I never saw the need to improve on my hands for pleasuring myself.  But the thing about being a Review Crew member, we get exposed to all kinds of products we wouldn’t otherwise know about.  Take for instance the Sidekick Tease Me Sleeve.  I would have never guessed that I could enjoy masturbating even more than I used to by using a masturbation aid, like a sleeve.

The Sidekick Tease Me Sleeve is a simple enough product.  It’s made of 100% Elastomer, which allows me to use any type of lube you want to.  I’m partial to silicone lube, because it doesn’t break down like water-based lubes do during a long masturbation sessions.  And since I don’t have to worry about using a condom when I’m having sex with myself, silicone-based lube works best for me.

When you see the Sidekick in its package you’re actually seeing the inside of the thing.  It’s VSI1turned inside out in the package so you can see the dozens of nubs that will be massaging your penis when you use it.  Obviously the Sidekick is easy to turn inside out, which is all-important when you want it’s time to clean up, but more about that in a minute.

The hole you insert you penis in is a decent size, so you don’t have to struggle inserting it.  And since you’ll be adjusting the pressure around your penis with your hand, it’s pretty perfect.  So I lubed up and slipped the Sidekick over the head of my penis.  I’m uncut, so slipping it on also retracted my foreskin.  Honestly, I was really surprised by the feel of the nubs on my penis, particularly the head.  It was so strange to have that kind of sensation on my cock.  But once I got used to the sensation, I was thinking; man, this is great.

The other end of the Sidekick is closed.  That means as you stroke this up and down your penis you actually create a bit of a vacuum, which is also very nice.  Besides the up and down movement you can also rotate the Sidekick around your penis.  This creates a completely unique sensation, which almost tickles.  I loved it!

There are two minor drawbacks, if you can call them that.  Once the Sidekick is turned right-side out (the nubs are now on the inside where they belong) the outside has no texture at all.  This creates a bit of a problem with lubed up hands.  I found that it was sometimes difficult to get a good grip on the thing.  The other issue is the size.  It’s only 5.5” long.  Now that will fit most of us, but if your bigger than that, this might be a bit of a problem.

You can cum right in the Sidekick, because it so easy to clean.  Turn it inside out again, wash in warm soapy water and let it dry.  I found that once it dried; it felt a little sticky.  So I just dusted it with little bit of cornstarch.  Oh and you have to store it in a plastic bag, or something like that.  You don’t want it to get dirty or linty when it’s just lying around.

I really like my Sidekick.  It would make a great stocking stuffer for any guy, especially one who admits to pleasuring himself.

Original Boy Butter

Boy Butter 5 oz EZ-Pump —— $16.99

Carlos
This is the original formula Boy Butter.  It comes in several different packaging options, so you may have seen it in a tub or a squeeze bottle.  Personally, I think this E-Z pump is the best.  It’s easy to handle, and you can dispense just the right amount of lube you need every time.  The plastic top keeps it from accidentally messing up anything else it may come in contact with.BBoriginal

I really like the creamy consistency of Boy Butter.  It lasts longer than other oil-based lubes I’ve tried; and I’ve tried plenty.  The organic coconut-oil base keeps it slick and silky.  I’ve never found a better jack-off lube than Boy Butter.  It even outlasts my favorite silicone-based lube.  I’m sold on this product.

Keep in mind; you can’t use Boy Butter with latex condoms.

Clean up is pretty easy too, soap and warm water will do.  It’s so much easier to clean up than my favorite silicone-based lube.

The only drawback that I can see is it doesn’t taste very nice.  But then again, I’m just jacking off with it.  If I planned to go down on someone, I think I would choose a different lube.

Carlos:
I’ve wanted to try these products since I began seeing them online.  What. it must be a year ago by now.  I’m pretty much still learning to explore my ass and so these products have helped me a lot by boosting my confidence.

My situation is different from a lot of guys I know.  I’m married to a great woman who I love deeply.  I’m also bisexual.  My wife has been very supportive of me investigating my queer identity, so I’m thankful for that.  She has no interest in pegging me.  She thinks the whole idea of a strap-on is ridiculous.  So that leaves me with the option of getting into my ass only with a male partner.  It always has to be safe sex, of course.

However, the opportunities to play with a man are few and far between.  Thus the 31co4Ns77YL._SS500_need for a confidence building measure likes the Backdoor products.  I have to use a lot of lube for anal play of any sort, so why not use one that will desensitizes my butt in the process.  Makes perfectly good sense to me.

I used both products — Backdoor Anal Comfort Spray and Backdoor Relaxing Anal GlideBackdoor Relaxing Anal Glide. separately as well as together.  For me the ideal is using them together.  Although I can safely say that if I had to choose just one, I’d go with the lube.

Backdoor Relaxing Anal Glide is very slick compared to a lot of the other water-based lubes I’ve tried.  And you have to have a water-based lube when you’re using a latex condom.

I have the greatest confidence in the Pjur product line to bring me the highest quality lubes without all the chemical additives found in other similar products. Pjur products are dermatologist tested.

The promotional materials for the Backdoor line of products says it’s more concentrated, thus more powerful I guess, than the Pjur AnalyseMe! product.  I can’t testify to that, because I haven’t had an opportunity to test them side-by-side.  But you can read Mick and Chuck’s review HERE.

One thing for certain, make sure your partner wears a condom when he fucks you.  And this isn’t a safe-sex concern; it’s about sensitivity.  It the Backdoor line of products desensitizes my butt, it will do the same for an unsheathed cock.

NobEssence – ROMP

Carlos introduces us to another beauty from NobEssenceROMP.

ROMP ——  $110

Carlos:  “It’s great to be back with some of my old review pals and some new ones too.

I feel a little odd being the only single person here, but my ROMP is perfect for solitary use.  It’s an exquisite wooden butt plug/prostate massager.

Before I continue with a description, I want to say that I agree with everything Ken and Denise said about their sculpture.  And since you just heard from them, I won’t repeat it all myself.romp.jpg

ROMP is the best prostate massager I’ve ever used.  And I’ve tried several.  It fits snug and stays in place because of the notch between the handle and the rounded insertable end.  And it’s designed to be worn for extended periods of time.  The longer you wear it, the better it feels.  Dr Dick and I are both big advocates of prostate self-awareness and prostate massage.  And this is the perfect ‘tool’ for that.

It isn’t all that big, so it is suitable for even the beginner.  The insertable section is 3 1/2” long and 1 1/2” at its widest point.  Nothing threatening there!  I suppose you could just as well use ROMP for G-spot stimulation, but I don’t have one of those.  So I can’t speak to that.

Lube, of course, is important.  And ROMP is compatible with all types of commercially produced lubes — water-based, silicone-based, whatever you have.

I love my ROMP.  I’ve already turned a couple of my bi-men friends on to this amazing instrument.

One thing I should point out.  The NobEssence site only allows you to buy directly from them if you use PayPal.  That is such a bummer.  Because there are a whole lot of us that will never use PayPal, ever.  I’m sure the sculptor looses a fair amount of business not having other pay options.  Luckily, the NobEssence site offers links to other online stores where you can purchase these marvels using a credit card.  So hurray for that!

If you have a prostate, or know someone who does, this is the ideal holiday gift for him.  Get ‘em while they’re hot!”  😉
